Hi - I have recently begun a restoration of a 1954 F100 and have just joined the forum.

I will soon be ordering some door hardware, specifically the tracks that surround the window and guide it. Since there are several vendors that sell similar products I am wondering if one of them is better than another when it comes to how the reproduction parts fit. I have looked at both LMC and Mid Fifties and would appreciate anybody's input on past experience.

Also, regarding the metal tracks that bolt into the rear edge of the doors to guide the windows - should I see a difference between the left side part and the right side part? I bought the left side track from an individual and now that I have my right side track removed from the truck they appear to be identical. There is an offset bracket at the bottom of the track and both of mine have a tab at the bottom right. The catalogue does list a left and a right track so I am thinking that I ended up with two lefts but would like to confirm that from somebody that is familiar with these parts.

    Thank you

The decision was made for me. I tried to order from LMC today and their parts were not available - not even on back order. I was able to order from Mid Fifties and will find out how well they fit
