I learned the hard way today the yellow valve cap on the water separator of my 2020 F250 PS is extremely easy to break. The part costs around $5 and I will be stocking 2 spares from now on. There are just two tiny plastic nibs threading into the water separator unit; they are only approximately 1/8” in diameter and protrude from the body of the cap another 1/8”. Needless to say, using just the force I thought I would need to tighten it was way too much. Also, don’t forget to cycle the ignition 6 times and leave the accessories on each time for about 20 seconds to refill the fuel filter before attempting to start the truck. These directions came from a Ford technician today.

It is definitely worth it in my opinion; I’m going to buy one. Thanks for the find and for posting the information! I’d hate to be stuck somewhere because of a $5 plastic part.
