Is there a source for backing plates for my 1971 f100? Mine are in rough shape. Can't seem to find any.
    Thanks

What is in rough shape? The grooves worn into the wear surfaces can be filled with a hard facing braze, that's what I did with my Lincoln. Any welding shop should be able to do that cheaper than replacing, without the risk of buying used ones that are also worn.

Yeah there are some deep groves that are causing the pads to hang up. I could weld and grind them smooth but I figured if new ones weren't to expensive I would just buy replacements.

I have some for the front you are welcome to. They are from the front of my 67
    I am in Florida

A word of warning, '67 had smaller brakes. Drums are narrower, I'm not sure if the backing plates changed. But I suggest, exchange good pictures, before shipping.

    Thanks for the heads up.
