What does ECO mode do on my new 2020 F-250. I have read the manual but it does not say how it actually works. Does anyone here know?

The computer reduces power output, lowers shift points, and reduces throttle sensitivity/response.

I tried it for a week. I have the 7.3 gas engine. It gets me 1 mpg. It does limit takeoff/throttle response.

Hauling my travel trailer 8 hrs to dealer today picking up new Cameo 5th wheel. Went from 18 Ram 1500 half ton 5.7 hemi. TT weighs about 7000 empty. This ford is the Godzilla, since I will not pay the additional 9-11 grand for the diesel I bought this. About the same mpg towing as the RAM whichIm pleased with considering it’s quite a lot bigger truck.
Hauled most of the way in normal mode. Hauled O’k but to be honest as far as pulling, I couldn’t see the aGodzilla pulled any better than the 5.7 RAM. I suspect that would change in a lot of steep hills. However I switched to tow mode, which I normally hate in any truck. I could not describe the difference! Felt like a different truck! The tow mode in this thing changes a lot more that just shift points. The engine immediately sounded better...more throaty, beefy. Noticeably much better throttle response and just better power!! Really love this truck.
