Just got in a 2011 ecoboost from another shop. Fixed several issues after they put an engine in.sort of......they didn't do too good!
Stuck with a boost code. P0236.
    New sensor and pigtail.
    Any suggestions?

    Are any hoses kinked?
Is map sensor full of carbon?

I had to tighten all charge clamps, replace a waste gate line. New map and boost sensors. All plumbing is in order. Still, ain't right. Data seems off.
Not sure what is wrong. Trouble tree is vague. I replaced the connection for the boost sensors.
Trying to wrap my brain around this system.

    ECM could be trouble.
Could be carbon on turbo. the 6.0's used to do that and unbalance the turbo

Unfortunately I am thin on Ecoboost hardware knowledge myself but I'm glad you worked it out!

Out of curiosity, since I'm not up to speed on the ecoboost, how did it run with the wrong sensor? Awful because the computer was trying to adjust, or just fine but had the CEL on?

    This came from another shop.
    The owner brought it. ....
    They screwed this one up.

I got that from the original story. I just never saw if it ran well and you were just cleaning up a CEL or if it ran awful due to the wrong sensor.

    Ran like crap.
Over boost and blow off at take off.
Then wrench light and reduce power.
The map sensor is calibrated different from the boost sensor. It had two map sensors.

The sensors look identical! And are close in part numbers. .. parts guy didn't notice.I guess.......

Blow off was due to a broken waste gate control line from the solenoid.

That or they worked at Autozoo. I've had them hand me the wrong part before and when I questioned them, I was told that part was actually an upgrade to what I had asked for. The sad part is they actually believe the stuff they tell you.
