Engine swap

    I have a 2008 F150 5.4 with 260000 miles. I found a 2008 5.4 superchager super snake mustang engine for sale with 120000 miles. Will this work in my truck. What else will I need to perform the swap.

    The 4-valve 5.4L is not a drop-in swap for the 3-valve 5.4L in the F150 so it a full-on swap of the engine, PCM, engine wiring harness, and you'll probably want to swap in a 4R100 transmission if you want to go with an automatic. That will be a project by itself since it wasn't an available transmission for 2004+ F150's. The existing 4R75E can be built to take the power, though, if you're willing to through a lot of money at it (I know because I have built 4R75E for my supercharged 5.4L 3V).
