I have 1967 F-250 2wd I am preparing to refresh the suspension in. I would like to soften the ride as well but I think I want to stay close to stock. Are the suspensions and/or components the same in the f-100 and f-250?

If you online search about stock spring HEIGHTS and LOAD capacities of the 150 to the 250 of your year, that should answer a lot for you.

Now you are dealing with Twin Eye Beam Suspension and the settings of Caster and Camber are engineered in to the trucks front axles, when, it was built. Now picture your looking at the tires from front of the truck stock. If you put shorter springs, you make the clearance between axle and frame, less and the tires will now look "knock kneed". If you use a longer spring and increase frame, axle clearance, the tires will now look "bow legged". So you are messing with front end alignment on a vehicle that is a nightmare to bring into spec, as you have to bend the axle to adjust camber. You are going to mess with your tire wear and the truck's handling. Cap

All great points. Thanks. I will try to look up some of those specs to find those answers as you suggested.
