Do not let the intake system scare you off from this task !

Get the plenum off . only 8 bolts total , all 8mm . A bracket in front , none in the rear like others . A few lines , no coolant lines, some electrical plugs .One 10 mm bolt for the hard vac line
The locks on the electrical plugs are the hardest part of the job !

Now you have full access to the right hand plugs !

Replace the plenum gaskets while there , and check for flatness .

    Use Motorcraft plugs !

A deep reach plug socket is a good choice ... No antiseize on these !. That Can cause varied problems .

Great job. Wonder if Ken wants to put this in a tech file or something?

Looks easy enough compared to previous generations.

I changed the plugs in my 2012 5.0. Took a whooping 10 minutes and no extras had to be undone. All up too and staring at you.

The new 5.0 engines are Easy ... Same coil and plug design as the 3.7 . No intake obstructing plug removal .

Just a couple of questions and suggestions if I may. First why no antiseize? I always use them on my spark plugs. Just a small dab on the threads, making certain not to get them on the tip will ensure that you are able to get them out without issue the next time they need replaced. Just the tiniest amount is enough to not let them corrode or gull. This is especially important with aluminum heads. Second might I suggest that working with areas opened up, like the intake ports, that you stuff clean, dry, lint free rags into the ports. That way nothing can get dropped or fall in to the engine. And the last question. Did you re gap or check the gap on the new plugs? I did when I changed them on my 2011 5.0. Then I noticed after the job was complete that Ford states on the box that the plugs are NOT adjustable. :banghead:

Many reasons to not use anti seize .
Plug design does not require any .
Anti seize alters your torgue by as much as 20 % .
It can cause heat transfer problems .
It can alter the grounding capability of the spark plug .
It can actually seep down and cause misfires .

Last question , plug gap . These plugs , Motorcraft , were sourced from NGK . I have used NGK plugs for 30 years in various apps .
They came with a tube around the electrode end . Pre gapped for application .
I just pulled a set out of a late model t bird , jag Basterd ! they were actually branded Motorcraft on one side , NGK on the other .
I knew Ford was using them by the hard script around the base , Those were the first I had seen Branded NGK .
NGK states to NOT use anti seize on most of their plugs .
