I have an 84 f250 7.5 l. All in all truck runs great. But. At lower rpm 1500-2000 if I punch it. It lurches, hesitates until the rooms get up to about 2500 . causing a problem with a load or up a grade. Timing and electrical is spot on. I'm looking for info on emission schematics and parts. It's a California vehicle no catalyst.

Until the "rooms" get to 2500! Thanks for a good laugh, made my day! Room, room!

Hesitation is usually a lean condition. Check the usual suspects with the carb, floats, idle, accelerator pump, secondaries, etc.

Thanks for the input. I swapped carbs about 2 yrs.ago. Still having some problems . I'm thinking emissions check valves? California. BS.
It's hard to find parts and ID the vacuum and emissions doodads. Even my shop manual doesn't give much ink to the 7.5l.

Is it Ford's manual or something else?

With the vacuum nipple cap and line plugged, what is the timing at idle?

Sounds like it could be an accelerator pump problem on the carb to me.
