Saw this one today, and there are several FORDS in it



~ and again, rally racing is just about as extreme as anything I have ever seen.

Contrary to belief, I don't watch this ALL the time, but sometimes a really good and fascinating video comes out

What is happenning with these "TRACKS" is that they are trying to make rally racing safer for the bystanders...
(Whilst still keeping it a mix of tarmac and dirt)

The problem with the "SUPERCARS" is that they were long known to be way too dangerous to go flat out with through the woods. That is what killed the "B" series long ago. So true rally racing on real roads with those cars was banned many years ago.

~ and a "SUPERCAR" here is a tiny one with enormous horsepower and four wheel drive (AWD). As much as you can get out of it...
600+ HP in a car under 2,000 pounds is amazing

I note also that Ken Block is in it, Mister HOONIGAN himself

The only racing more nuts than this are on the "Isle of Man" in the UK or down in BAJA

* A "JOKER" in these races is a longer lap made by taking a cut off. Only one is required, but you cannot skip it.



Anyway, I hope what I am showing you is something exciting, interesting, and something you would not ordinarily have seen or even heard about.

The car handling in this is extreme, not just mechanically but by the drivers.


THESE ARE NOT ECONOMY CARS! They are mind blowing packages full of horsepower and traction...
They take power to weight ratio to the absolute limit.


Another thing I am seeing in this is FORDS commitment to develop new tech, and put it to the ground in terms of traction, handling, and energy well applied -

They are using science, not guess work
