I'm not much into lift kits and my new SD Platinum already sits high enough for me. I would like to have lowering shackles installed on the back and was wondering how many have opted to do this instead of lifting the front to level the truck? No big tires or lift kits just level the truck.

I would think the springs would bottom out with a load on

depends on what series truck you get. some guys replace the F350 4 inch rear blocks with the F250 2 inch rear blocks to drop the rear.

I don't haul any heavy loads. I only pull a 2500 lb. bass boat.

My new 2017 Super Duty is an F250 Platinum. With a leveling kit on the front the truck would have to have a frontend alignment. If I have lowering shackles installed on the back I've been told that a frontend alignment is not needed.

This is an old thread so I hope you’re still paying attention. Did you have any luck lowering your truck? I just took delivery of a 2022 F250 and it seems to sit unnecessarily high, especially for my vertically challenged wife. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t believe there has been any significant changes to the frame and suspension in 5 years.
