For some reason I was thinking about shipboard living today, and I remembered an AIMD Senior Chief who took it on himself to improve the quality of life we had on a certain aircraft carrier by going ballistic on the berthing spaces - especially the heads. His idea was to use
Pine Sol in mass quantities in the heads as an antiseptic for the shower stalls and squatters.

I was passing by during one of these cleaning evolutions one day and he (obviously enthusiastic about the idea) collared me and expounded at length on his brilliant idea and how it was going to work out...

And I said: "That's great Senior - now it smells like somebody took a poop under a pine tree."
