We have a 68 F100 short bed that has a behind the seat tank. I'd like to replace it and remount it under the bed with a passenger side fill. Can anyone recommend a replacement I can pull from the salvage yard to replace it? Would rather not buy new if I don't have to. 20 gal would be ideal.

    Thanks

It is just a google search, with other mentions below it. I did not open any others. My search was...... "67 to 72 ford camper special gas tank options"

Don't know if you got your tank set up picked out yet. I have a donor truck, an '89 F Super Duty that has two tanks, one a side tank on the driver's side behind the cab, the other behind the rear axle. Both fill from the driver's side. I pulled the rear tank, complete with the mounts which include a full skid pan. Dropped it right between the frame rails behind the axle on my '67, only needed a piece of angle iron to sub for the frame crossmember front mount on the Super Duty. Just about 20 gallons in a plastic tank, no rust issues.
