I've been removing parts from my wrecked '56 chassis to use on my "new" '56 Panel. I checked out the 500 Caddy engine and found that I have everything on my spare engine to replace what was damaged in the wreck. The water pump and fuel pump will be replaced with new ones though. It will get a tune-up too.
I cut the motor mounts off the old Volare IFS to weld onto the new one. All the bushings, ball joints, and tie rod ends will be replaced with new parts. I had just replaced the brake rotors, calipers, pads, and hoses about 30-45 days prior to the wreck. The chassis has been stored outside, under a tarp since the wreck. I think I will disassemble the calipers and rebuild them if the bores and pistons look OK. The rotors should clean up OK and I have new bearings and seals for them.

My motor mounts & driveshaft. The upper mount in the pic is the RH side. The long square tubing extends forward and welds to the truck crossmember.
