Got a bit of a head scratcher on my AC. 1999 F150 with the 4.2 V6. Low end charge is good - 45 - 48lbs. High side only reading about 25 - 30 -lbs. and won't equalize. Clutch kicks in for brief intervals, then stops (few seconds max). Blowing hot inside. I can't seem to find anything on any forums with this particular symptom. Ideas?

My first thought would be a stuck expansion valve

I believe this has the FOT for that year.

Yes which I think has an orfice tube that functions like an expansion valve. I could be all wrong, It’s been a while since I did a/c work on a regular basis
