The HOT ROD POWER TOUR is in full bloom. My Son-In-Law's Dad is on the road again. Finally lasted thru the entire tour last year and is an official Long Hauler.

It started in Madison, WI. In Champaign, IL the next day with over 6,000 cars.

Here is his 1967 Olds 442.

Very cool. I don't know that my middle-aged tail end could take that many miles!

Madison, Wisconsin to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A bit over 1,000 miles. That is just for the route. Jeff left here Thursday and drove the 442 up to Madison. After the LONG HAULER festivities in Baton Rouge he will head back to Dallas.

I ran part of it in 2013 with the Nova. I should have gone one more stop to Memphis...but alas, The Queen was with me. It is a great experience with most of the trip being on two lane black top thru the smaller towns. Locals line up on the street to wave everyone on.

Do you see a thread tools box on the top/right of the thread when reading?

Also, when you look at a list of threads, does each have a little square checkbox on the left?

You should, when you're in the Canadian Chapter section.

Part of the adventure...dropped the tank at 70 MPH. Nobody hurt. The 442 is fixed and they are back on the tour....

I never enjoyed dropping a fuel tank, but I can see that method as being a quick and effective, but not recommended! Glad no one was hurt.

Got a co-worker who is running Power Tour as his vacation this year. Was going to take his 69 Firebird but was having transmission issues, so they took I think a 74 Olds instead. Can't remember. He will be a Long Hauler, going the whole route from Wisconsin to Louisiana.

If they go thru Texas again I will take a shot at the Long Haul.
