This is not something I would consider doing for safety reasons. I've heard of people doing things like trying to use a ceiling beam in a garage and they end up tearing down half the garage. I've seen videos where people use a large tree branch, but I think you're risking a serious accident. And since a tree or ceiling doesn't have wheels, so you end up having to get help to roll the truck out from under it while trying to maneuver the engine - and getting it back in right and set correctly on the mounts is a lot harder.

If money is tight, Harbor Freight has lifts for $199. Just make sure you lift the engine with the transmission off so it's lighter because it's not a heavy duty lift. Or checkout Facebook marketplace for local used hoists. Out here I've seen 2 ton hoists there for $100.

Also check out local rental places. Some of them will rent out a hoist for about $25/day.
