Dash Wiring, what's this

    The truck is 12 volt negative earth and I'm tidying the wiring behind the dash and the previous owner has fitted new gauges and I'm curious as to what the supply for them are connected to. As you see in the pictures they are connected to what looks like a bus but should it be a voltage reducer/ regulator.
    Any ideas please.
