OK new to this forum and I can't find an exact info for my truck. The vin # shows it is a 1968 Ford F-250 2WD truck. BUT the doors of this thing has 2 handles just like the window crank. 1 window crank handle and 1 door handle, which makes me believe it is a 1967 door BUT the vin tag on the door is the same as the truck at 1968. So my main question is the drivers door latch is missing the spring that keeps the top catch up when door is open so when I try and shut the door it just slams against it and doesn't shut. So i need to find a new latch and that is turning out to be very difficult. Just like finding the door handle and window cranks since the truck didn't come with either.

Yeah, the doors with two swing handles are definitely the 1967 style (I had a 1967 F100), but there're aways the possibility is was very early 68. What's the sequence number on the VIN?

You're going to find it's simply not available as reproduction or new old stock (unless you get lucky). I ran into that with several 1 year only parts like the hood emblems. You might want to do what I do for hard to find parts. Setup an eBay account if you don't have one. Then put in the search terms you want, and save the search as an alert. Every time a matching part comes up for sale it will email you.

OK the door latch sometimes works perfectly and sometimes It won't open or it falls down and won't let the door close either.

    VIN# is 71625

1967 F100/750: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors. 1968/72's have door lock knobs.

1967 only: Door shells, door lock remote controls, window regulators, inside door and window crank handles, vent frames and handles, door latches, door lock cylinder lock rods, steel door panels, door trim panels, armrests.

1967/72 same: Glass, weather strips, division bars, upper/lower door hinges, outside door handles, door lock cylinders.

The last SIX digits of the VIN is the numerical sequence of assembly, the trucks specific serial number.

    1967 serial number range: A00,001-B82,000

OK these doors you push the handle forward to lock the doors, since they don't have a knob to push up or down to lock them. So this truck is a 1968 but these doors appear to be a 1967. Vin# is D71625

Now are the windows and regulators, gaskets, etc the same from 1967-72. I want to install power windows on these doors but don't want to order the wrong stuff.

    Thanks

Ok I see your post about 1967 window regulators being 1 year only. BUT i see companies listing power window kits for 1967-72?

    And

My windows are very hard to roll up and down so I would like to get a whole kit with new regulator as well. Also my doors don't have any lock knobs from inside you push the handle forward to lock them. Now how hard would it be to install power door locks on this truck as well? The vin is def 1968 but the doors appears to be 1967 and they have the factory vin tag riveted on like factory as well so I doubt they would have ever been replaced.

Is there a way to ID the window regulator and door latch as a 1967 easily?

IF you have to push the inside handles forward to lock the doors, your truck has 1967 doors, because 1968/72 doors have door lock knobs.

1967 F100/750 doors use different door shells, door lock remote controls, window regulators, door latches, inside door and window crank handles, vent frames and handles, door lock cylinder lock rods, steel door panels, door trim upholstered panels, armrests than 1968/72 F100/750.

Ok so this truck even being a 1968 does have 1967 doors. Also I see the 1968-72 trucks have a lever to pull next to the door handle to open the door, which mine just has the 2 handles.

1968/72 F100/750's have door lock knobs.
