I have a 98 f-250 4X4 eod transmission. My transfer case is leaking oil on both ends, more so on the output side. I just replaced the complete rear drive shaft, tube, slip yoke and u joints. (had the leaks before replacing) When I asked the shop the fabricated the new shaft about replacing the seals on the transfer case they told me the only solution was a complete rebuild ($1,500) they also suggested installing a rebuilt transmission because it appeared that it was leaking also. ($3,500) I do have to add atf often.

My question is, can the seals in the transfer case be replaced without a complete rebuild? I do most of the work on the truck myself, but when it comes to removing things like the transmission and transfer case I have to use a shop. No garage, unpaved driveway and no shade tree lol.
Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.
