looking for info on swapping my 78 body on to an early 80's frame.

    I currently have a 78 F150 XLT Lariat 2wd long bed. It's got the 351/400m with auto. Great truck, but I need/want 4wd. I found a 1980 lb 4x4 with a 460 swapped in. Body is shot, but I can pick it up for $500.

    My searching shows that game is the same length and width, but wondering about mounts, etc.

    Any one have any info?

    slight differences in body mounts, bot not anything a semi decent fabricator could not whip up in a days work
