    Welcome to FTZ! Interesting. Sorry I can't help with your search but, 1953 would have had a Flat Head V-8 and 54-55 and 56 overhead valve V-8, possibly different cross member ? Sounds like you going back to a stock engine. Share your project progress with us, many like to follow along
