Replacing side vent latches...

    I need to replace the left and right side vent (wind wing) latches. It looks like I need to drive out the spring pin that holds the latches in place without breaking the window so tapping it out with a small drift and hammer seems a little risky. Can anyone point me to an article on how to do this correctly the first time around ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I replaced the driver's side latch on my 67 F100 years ago, and it was basically knocking it out with a very small punch, being very careful. Use a rubber mallet to strike the punch to soften the blow a little.
