new to this site, i have a solid 1976 F150 supercab long bed, i would like to create a F250/F350 Hi-boy Super cab short bed question is would it be easier to find a 73-77 regular cab long bed to swap the body and short bed on to with frame modifications OR find a 94-97 OBS F350 4x4 super cab long bed (same wheel base as the 76) swap the 76 super cab and cut the frame for the short bed

 

Ford began making a supercab 4X4 in '78, I have 2. They are 1/2 ton, but use front leaf springs, so 3/4 ton running gear will swap in. I don't know if they were available with a short box, but I don' think so. Any newer frame will be set up for twin traction beams.
