I am very interested in buying an early-mid 50's F100. However, I have almost no mechanical backround (can change oil, top off fluids, find and replace spark plugs, and tires are pretty simple... end of knowledge). Before I invest in a beautiful truck like that, I wonder if there are classes or resources to learn-up on the basics. I am pretty handy with electrical work in the home, and plumbing, and I do a lot of wood working, so I feel it is something I should be able to learn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am in Maryland, for any referrals.
