    Hi Guys,

Im going down on Tuesday to order a new 7.3 or 6.7 F250 XLT with the Tremor package. I went to the dealer last week to order the 6.7 but the dealer was thinking the new 7.3 engine would suit my needs better. I plan to get a 30-32 foot toy hauler within the next year or two. There will be a 4 seater rzr being towed inside the toy hauler. After reading numerous reviews and watching videos I'm starting to think the 7.3 will be sufficient but don/t want to regret my choice. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

the only difference i can see is the low fuel mileage on the 7.3, and higher cost of the diesel.
power wise, they seem about the same.

Having owned an older Ford diesel, the diesel pulled better. That being said, the nearly 1900 mile trip I just took pulling a ~7600 lb camper with my 7.3 started out with me questioning my choice. But by the time the trip was over, I was more than satisfied with it. I finally figured out that the motor was not what made me question my choice. It was the 10 speed transmission. Once I got used to how it operated, I was sold. Fuel mileage towing averaged about 7.7 mpg as long as I held it under 70 mph. Towing capacity, the 6.7 beats out the 7.3. But the extra cost of the 6.7 as well as the ongoing extra costs of operation pushed me to the gas engine. Just a simple oil change is half the cost. If I was constantly pulling 10k or more, I would go with the diesel. "Recreational" towing with under 10k, I would go with the 7.3. Just my opinion, nothing more.

I have the 2020 Diesel. Cant speak to the 7.3 but I can tell you the diesel is a gorilla. Crazy power and I am getting 20MPG unloaded. This is a complete surprise I was planning on mid teens so I have to assume the 10 Speed is factoring into mileage. If you think you want the diesel get it. I don't get the comments about diesel being more expensive fuel. I am paying $2.07 in New Hampshire which is within pennies on Regular
