Seems these newer style headlights aren't doing a very good job.

No excuse for that at all !!
I don't know what will be on my next truck but the new LED flood lights on my house work very well .

What?......... They are not blinding enough to oncoming drivers already?
The course in modern headlights seems to be "Eff you, I don't care if your blinded by my lights, I can see fine."

Headlights have been crap since the lenses were changed from Glass to Plastic!

That would put it as far back as 1984 for some cars, and I believe 1992 for Ford trucks (maybe earlier).

    1987 for F-series..........89 for Rangers.

I had German glass Hella H-4s on my old Ranger that lit up the road as well or better than the new crap, and did not blind oncoming drivers with welding arc blue beams.
I am forced to drive in rainy lousy conditions at night, and have been utterly blinded by new "OEM" headlights on numerous occasions..........IMO the mfgs can ram those headlights up their arses.

"Safety is seeing"...............only if you are the one blasting them downrange, the rest of us are death-gripping the wheel until our night vision comes back.

I cannot see well enough with most of the new headlamps. Color wavelength is not normal! I do better with my sealed beams in my 78 !
Don't get me started on the new crap lights blinding oncoming traffic! !!!!

Thanks for clearing that up. I was certain they had them in the 92-96, but wasn't 100% positive for the 87-91.

One way to light up the road well without blinding people is some good driving lights down low. They make a huge difference on our Explorer and the F150. My F250, they aren't aimed well so I don't run them when there's oncoming traffic.
