F150 Lariat V6 3.5L eco boost, 4 wheel, 2014, The check eng. light came on, showed code P144C (Evap emission sys purge flow performance during boost), I changed the evap. purge valve (Ford CK41-9B325) with Auto Zone Duralast PV958. Reset check eng light. System cycled and light went away briefly then came back, now code P0430 appeared (cat syst efficiency below thresh (bank2)). Changed upstream bank 2 O2 sensor, no change. Checked hoses and plugs. Cat temps seem to be normal. Truck is running at or better than normal. Any suggestions for cause of P0430 and the engine light?

Upstream O2 sensors measure A/F ratio, to adjust fuel trims. Downstream O2 sensors are used to compare O2 levels after the converter to those before it. Their only job is too measure catalytic converter efficiency. So the front sensor can be ruled out.

If the rear sensor is good, and front sensor (fuel trims( don't indicate a rich mixture, then it's either the rear O2 sensor, converter going bad, or air leaking into the exhaust after the forward cat. Sometimes flooring the engine at high way speeds to try to burn off any deposits on the converter can help.

There's also "converter cleaner" you can buy but I'm skeptical about something like that.
