    Hello Ford fans,
I have 1997 F250 powerstroke, it has 189,000 miles on it and it has started cranking longer than usual before it will fire. The engine being warm does not change this being the case warm or cold Cranks longer than it usually does. There is about 60,000 miles on this fuel filter I thought the filter still had some miles to go I'm not sure what else would be Causing the hard starting. Once the engine fires it runs good And idels good. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Not an expert, but I had one of these once. I had an exhaust leak on the right side, almost no noise, but once I replaced the exhaust donuts, it started a lot better. I guess the leak lowered the back pressure and confused the sensor on that side? Sounds weird, but look for soot there, it may just help.
Check all the sensors of course, any loose of corroded connection will cause this. I had one at the front which was difficult to find, but once I figured it out, it would start really well, then a week later the truck got stolen, should have never fixed it!
