rebuild injectors

    i have a bad injector on my grandson's 5.0 fi50. how hard is it to rebuild the injectors and where to get the better rebuild kit at?

    I always purchase a new or reman from oriley auto parts. I've never looked for a rebuild kit , I've cleaned and replaced a few inlet screens over the years though.

    If a cleaning doesn't take care of it, toss it and replace. They are cheap enough, under $30 for one, and I've seen entire sets of 8 go for under $70.

    I've cleaned them before with rubbing alcohol, a syringe to push the alcohol through them with pressure while opening them with a 12V battery.

    old injector was a yellowish looking hat and the new one is pink, still has another bad one but runs well enough to drive. looks like we need to replace them all.
