Hello I a new member so I will apologize now if have posted this in the wrong place. My question. Is there anywhere that you can purchase side mirror extensions for a 2019 f-550? The truck already has the towing mirrors but has a 16ft enclosed box and I have a hard time seeing around it. The outer inch and a half are about all you can see out of and dont have a good view of anything behind you. I have found ones that attach to the factory mirror and just put another out further. I don't like the way these look. I am wanting to keep it stock looking. Any help would be great.

 

have you tried sliding the mirrors out? the factory mirrors are usually tucked in but will slide out on the arms about 4-5 inches.

 

Yes they are slid all the way out.

 

I was hoping someone made aftermarket mirrors with a longer extension when slid out. I have a wide travel trailer (8'6") and I can't see around it with the stock mirrors as well as I'd like to. So far I haven't found anything. I may get a pair of removable mirrors for towing, but I'd really like to retain the OEM look.

 

I never found an aftermarket mirror, but I *did* find extension mirrors. They're made (or at least sold by) Prime Products (https://primeproducts.com/product-category/tow-mirrors/). The product I bought was the "2.5 XLR RATCHET CLIP-ON MIRROR" (SKU 30-0086). The attachment straps are too short for my mirrors, though, so I also bought two sets of "EXTENSION STRAP KIT FOR XLR RATCHET MIRRORS" (SKU 30-0100). I would prefer that the extension mirrors were flat rather than convex, but they extend my view far enough to the side that I can see back along the sides of my trailer, as well as providing a slightly better view of vehicles in my lane.
