Hello!
I’m struggling with taking off in 2nd from a stop in my 72 F250. I let off clutch until I feel it catch then give gas and release rest of clutch. Often the truck will start to jump/shake and I have to put the clutch back in and do it again while it’s rolling to get a smooth start. I’ve tried more gas and less gas, and letting the clutch out quicker, no luck. it doesn’t happen in any other gear.
Any thoughts, would be welcome.

 

Most likely is, you need to replace the clutch ass'y new and have the flywheel resurfaced. Check for a broken motor mount, meaning the bond between the metal and rubber parts of a mount have separated.
