Sync 3 to CarPlay

    I just purchased a 2016 F-150 SuperCab with the 5.0. I was told by the dealer that my sync would work with Apple's CarPlay. Mine does not! I was wondering if anyone on here knows how to up grade my Sync to work with CarPlay?

    Its both a software and hardware upgrade (upgraded USB port to work with Apple's proprietary USB port), dealer installed I believe. Ford didn't roll out Carplay in the 2016 model until the last few months of production.

    I see the upgrade is posted on other sires but with the warning you could void your warranty.
