The start of my 56 pickup

    Here's my diamond in the ruff :) lol I started this project last April.This cab was from a F-600 I picked up at a wrecking yard and was in better shape than the F-100 cab I had, I kid you not.

    The cab was braced and then put on my rotisserie. I started removing the cowls first. New project 037 Quick e-mail view.jpg #ad

    Then onto the floor and rockers and started repairs to the lower door posts.

    Installed new inner cab corners and had to make the bowed in rib that runs from side to side as well as repairing the bottom section of the rear cab panel

    Rocker panels and cowl braces were installed next

    Then I replaced the left side of the firewall

    Then it was onto the rear floor section

    Then moved onto the 2 front floor sections

    Again with this picture just to say that there was a lot of reworking to that corner brace to make it fit as it does and to the rockers as well. The rockers were very good fitting pieces but those braces came nowhere close to resembling the shape of the rockers.

    It was time to remove the outer rear cab corners

    Once I got the lower parts looked after I needed to take care of my drip rail condition which was disappointing. So I replaced the metal completely around the drip rails in short sections. I know that some like to shave the drip rails for the cleaner look but I like the function of them so they are here to stay.:)

    After the drip rails were complete I started to fill the seams and smooth out the dash by eliminating the ash tray and switch holes that will later be included in the dash extension

    The glove box is something else that will stay on this build after the fun I had installing the Vintage Air in my panel
