Hello all, new here. I'm replacing the timing chain on my 89 F350 460. What is the opinion on changing the sprockets at this time as well? I'm not looking for a best practice more of a, is it necessary?

i i do chain and sprockets.
if the chain is worn enough to change, the sprockets are too.

and closely inspect the timing cover around the water pump for deterioration. last thing you want to do is put it on and then have to take it back off because it is paper thin and starts leaking coolant into the oil .
