I have a 68 F 100 that I drove for 18 years it has been off the road about 5 years I just replaced both exhaust manifolds last week it needs a lot of T L C but it deserves it going to put power steering of some kind fluid or electric any thoughts on that and go from manual transmission to auto I have 390 in now and have a C 6 transmission that will bolt right up question with the C 6 being longer what do I do with the two piece drive shaft????

 

The best option would be to find a donor truck that has a big block, C6 , and p/s. Then you could get the steering box, pump and mounting hardware, along with the drive shaft.
Short of that everything you need is available aftermarket except maybe the pump brackets. The drive sharan be built or shortened by a drive shaft shop if you can find one.
Don’t know where your at but there is a shop in Jax Fl and I think I know where a donor truck may be here in Palatka, Fl

 

Yea we have a drive line shop in Columbia SC but the steering box would have to be a bendix box which is not as good as the Saginaw box is 2” longer then you a steering column that’s to long which can be cut down
