Transmission

    I have 2007 F150 4WD 4.6. Auto. The Drive is out of it. When I put in reverse it kicks right in. Would it be better to have it just rebuilt or get another transmission? If I replace it where can I look for another transmission?

    Does it engage in low ? Any codes ?
    I would have a reputable shop diagnose it . If needed, Jasper offers great remanufactured transmission's with a good warranty.

    No. It doesnt move in drive or the lower gears. The transmission oil smells burnt. I havent had anything hooked up to read the codes.

    I would still have a professional look at it .
    Reverse and nothing else seems odd to me .
