Utility side box?

    Can anyone give me history on this utility box add on for stepside long box.

    Aftermarket conversion, FoMoCo had nothing to do with it.

    Usually utility bodies are mounted on Cab & Chassis, that have no "back of cab equipment" just bare frame rails.

    btw: Ford = Flareside, a stepside is a Chevrolet. :(

    I have utility boxes on other trucks but this is a step side box that has had the fender removed and this box bolted on just the passenger side. Just thought maybe someone else may have one of these and offer more information.

    I've seen a few of these, but this was back when they were nearly new. I don't know of anyone that has one today.

    1969/70 FoMoCo offered a Contractors Special, these were F100/250 Stylesides that had utility boxes mounted atop the bed sides. I've only seen one...years ago.
