    Hello all,

    I need mostly an opinion on some vacuum lines I have. I have been tearing into the passenger side of the engine to diagnose a very strong exhaust/fuel smell (which I found was the charcoal needing replacing in the EVAP canisters). While I am in here, I am cleaning up and replacing whatever I can to ensure longevity and preventive maintenance.

    I wanted to replace the vacuum lines from the air/smog pump to Air Injection Pipes and Air Injection Pipes to the Secondary Runner Valve (aka Air Injection Diverter Valve) the them with brand new lines. My question is: Can I replace these lines with identical 3/4 vacuum lines from Napa or parts store? I cannot find the Motorcraft Ford parts online even when using the part number each hose has. I looked these up and just found the air diverter, not he lines themselves. I have the necessary tools to bend vacuum lines to retain their shape without kinking/collapsing.

    The RED lines indicate hard to see parts. I am looking for all those hose in the picture in addition to the red highlighted ones

    Please also use this helpful link to see what each part is called: https://www.justanswer.com/ford/8jnz7-identify-three-emissions-parts-93-f250-7-5l.html

    Acronyms for reference:
    TANKS= Fuel Tanks
    CPRV= Canister Purge Regulator Valve
    PCV= Positive Crankcase Ventilation
    MAN VAC= Manifold Vacuum
    EGR= Exhaust Gas Recirculation
    EVR= Electronic Vacuum Regulator
    TB OR TAB= Thermactor Air Bypass
    V CK V= Vacuum Check Valve
    SOLV= Solenoid Valve
    SRV= Secondary Runner Valve (aka air injection diverter valve)
    VRESER= Vacuum Reservoir

    Thank you!

    So long as you use lines rated for vacuum for vacuum, oil rated lines for things like the PVC, etc, then you can a 1 to 1 swap with generic lines of the same size. Don't ever use non-vacuum lines for vacuum use since they aren't rated against collapsing.
