Does anyone know if a 1978 1 ton dually 2wheel drive frame can be converted to 4 wheel drive.

 

There is a guy named Solomon Lunger at a company called Ford Era in Miami
He does a lot 4WD swaps and conversions that probably can answer any questions you have

He is a little slow to answer some times

frames are normally the same. 2x4 to a 4x just swap the parts ,transmission.transfer case cross members , axles, drive shafts linkages .the holes should already be in place a example is with ford vans they leave the factory as 2x4's and get converted elsewhere to a 4x4

if you have a 4x4 donnor get a good look at what's different
