Hello All, I have a 1977 F100 Custom

I was changing the rear breaks and noticed the right axle spinning when the truck is in neutral, I need help troubleshooting why it might be doing that.

 

A little more info is needed, but I’m guessing you had the truck running in neutral while it was jacked up? if that was the case there can be enough friction between the gears to cause it to turn, but if you put a foot against it , it would probably stop

 

Yes it was jacked up!! I've learned all about friction and transmission this week haha thank you for your reply. She's my baby and I wanted to be sure everything was good.
