Another ship broadsided? Sure I get the whole, those big boats are moving deceptively fast thing, but it's generally not a good idea to get T-boned, and if you're paying attention, I don't think it's actually that hard to do. Am I missing something? I know there are some on these boats who are old enough to know better than just trust the fancy gadgets to keep you safe, but I guess they all have the day shift and are asleep when this happens. Another thought, Russia has been playing with their GPS spoofing stuff more and more. Iran has already lured a Navy boat into their waters that way, and they've also captured a drone by fooling it. Could this be a case of navigation, early warning, etc. interference from the outside? Either on our end or on those who are running into us? Still, how do you not see a tanker about to run into you?
