Needing current only for an idea I have in mind, which I think everyone here will really like. More on that as I gather names. :)

What I have in mind is doing what we do over on theturboforums. Putting a "Certified Tech" badge under those user ids.

Its not that other people here don't have good info, especially other pro mechanics. It's more along the lines of making total newbs who don't know anything about forums feel comfortable about the site being "legit". The site can then say "get repair advice from certified techs" (and adding to our disclaimer that no one vouches for the accuracy of the advice -- that way there isn't any liability risk).

Always seek the services of a trusted mechanic type of disclaimer.. type of thing.
    Makes perfect sense. CYOA .
Good idea adding a cert badge.

I do like this idea. I am chasing a gremlin now in my Vic and just cannot figure it out. Damn air ride suspension is driving me nuts.

    that one is easy Paul.
put regular suspension under it. the air ride used on the panther class fords was without a doubt the worst system ever invented.

OK Charlie. I have disabled my chip and the extra lift sensor to see if that was the problem. I have did the engine on, open the front and rear doors to reset it along with doing the battery disconnect for two hours. All fuses and relays have tested good and power appears to be where it should (test light and hot wire power test). I have heard that the LCM also controls it but I do not know how. I will start a new string under general auto.......

    Good idea.

Along the same lines, can I get a Service Advisor badge under my name? I'll just recommend everyone spend $2,000 at the dealer on a bunch of unneeded maintenance items based strictly on odometer readings and nothing else. :)
