My wiper motor on my 1968 F100 has stopped working. The motor has always made an intermittent clicking sound when the key is on and causes the dome, cluster, and headlights to dim a little each time it clicks. I picked up a used one and installed it but has the exact same results. It clicks just like the old one and does not work. I assume the problem may be with the switch and not the motor? Thanks.

Clicking, sounds like auto reset circuit breaker, tripping (due to a short or excessive load) and resetting. I believe some ford headlight switches had circuit breakers built in. With all hooked up and all on, reach under to the headlight switch and feel as you hear the click to see if coming from there.

If You go to the "Fordification" web site, find the wiring schematic for your truck. Locate headlight switch and follow the wiring to see what else that circuit breaker might feed. Unplug any circuit one at a time to see if the load/drain has stopped. If yes your problem is in THAT circuit.
