How's the oil pressure looking on it?

35 at high rpm, 15-20 idle.

Been thinking about changing the oil pan gasket.

Yeah, looks like the sign of bearing wear then. Might be able to squeeze some life out of it with a slightly thicker oil but it goes without saying it's probably on borrowed time (but I said it anyways, lol).

I ordered a new front windshield gasket today from Dennis Carpenter. The gasket has several gaps from it deteriorating and when it rains the water comes through the gaps. my plans are eventually to replace the door seals and side window rattles. I love that old truck, she's my wood truck.

I've seen healthy motors like some 350 Chevy's and my old 2.8 Ford V-6 that were lucky to have 8-10 psi oil press. on a hot day at idle, in drive, with no ill effects. Though I am not familiar with what kind of psi your motor "should" have.

Pretty easy to "roll" new bearings in, when you drop the pan and put in a new pump from the bottom.
Just make sure to take the numbers off the bearings you take out.
It may have over-sized bearings in it right from the factory

Fresh those motors get about 15-20 psi more than that. Best way to know for sure is to get an oil analysts. It's worth the $20. Blackstone will let you know if the metal levels in the oil indicate things like bearings going out, piston wear, etc.

Thanks guys, I have driven this truck twice to the Oregon GTG and it's been a trooper. It doesn't pull tall hills very well in fourth. But I guess a 223 pulling 4500-5000 Ft hills would do that.
