It's an aod and I think im going to have to replace it. When I got the truck Friday the transmission fluid was red but smelled burnt now it's brown could that cable be the cause? I think i read something about that cable being out of adjustment burning the transmission up. I've only been about 300 miles the first time i ever got down on it was last night I've hauled 3 loads of firewood. Nothing crazy. But when it stalls in reverse its only if you hit the gas and let off of it quickly in drive it seems like its when the transmission downshifts

 

And there is no reserve cans period. Is there anyway i can contact you faster than waiting on you to reply on here?

 

Aod adjustment, hold throttle cable to full throttle, then push the button on the side of the tv cable to the transmission. it will click into position, and then lock it in.
You can look at he tv cable how it works. Adjustment is simple.
They are pretty tough, they don't burn up as easy as people lead you to believe
