Auto. And yeah! It will hunker. The rear end does get wild.

Looks real clean Peggy. Most of that eras F bodies up here in the land of all things rusted look like swiss cheese. Good luck with the build.

No rust. It's been garaged. Does need new seals on the t-tops.

What's that 700R transmission? I heard there's been a six or seven speed manual around for at least a decade.

I just got a new JEGS cat sent to me with a Rambler American on the cover. It has a 331 hemi in it punched out to - 354.

The transmission is listed as a "GM 700R4"

Are you asking if it has a 700R4? It has a 4L60E, the electronic version of the 700R4 that's a little beefier. 93 was the last year for the 700R4 in a Camaro. 6 speed manual has been available since 93 too.

So- what do you want it to be? What's your dream vision?
YOU and PEGGY want it to be.
What is your dream object here?

No matter what it's a sweet acquisition.

Come to think of it - what does it get for mileage on a straight interstate run? That body is aerodynamically slick

Mileage sucks. Someone previously fiddled with it, probably thinking "richer=more power" which is false. I'm going to reprogram the computer to get it running clean.

Goals.... net yet planned beyond a turbo, and cosmetic work. I'll figure out the rest later.

So - it was nabbed as an "I GOTTA GIT THAT" on the fly....

Do you plan to keep it? That's an important consideration, it could be serious BANK in one form or another. It isn't a thing to neglect....

How deep are you both committed to that car?

Hmm. Duh! What is the personal value vice the trade.

ICONs are disturbing things, we have to ask if we want a thing because it comes from US, or because of some other drive we feel

And we live in an era where personal gratification is magnified by outside influences.

It is still a magnificent set of wheels.

UBU, and Peggy also. Why do you want it?

How does it help you, what do you expect of it, personally?

Does it make you more than you are already, and in that sense become useful

This is my mind running around in circles, I do the same to me.

"Is the whistle worth the price"

I saw a brand new Camaro tonight on a wrecker truck - it had been stolen by a perp that ran from the cops. Looked like it had been rolled, but I was impressed that the wheels looked like they still tracked straight even though the roof was caved in from being flipped.

It was right out of "Need for Speed"...

I can't think of impressive wheels anymore without thinking in terms of how they can be replaced....

Insurance companies do a lot, but can't replace what has been trashed

    food for thought

That gen of camaro is fun to drive. If running well, it would be hard to cut loose.

LOL, it's hard for me to cut ANY car loose.

    Dutch....

Man, don't take everything so seriously with so much examination trying to find hidden meaning. Its not a religious quest, it's a project car, lol.

Oh, I know that.... just sometimes it gets too mentally deep for me, lol. I read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" for that (great book, btw).
