So after putting the engine Back Together, You Drained and Changed the Oil and Filter, BEFORE Starting the Engine??? YES??? You should have and when you started the engine, you would have heard knocking until the filter filled with oil and oil pressure came up. So now is there still knocking every time you start the engine?? How does your oil pressure gauge read when engine is up to operating temperature and engine idling??
