Trailer queens are not fun vehicles anyway, the joy comes when you can drive it and see the appreciation it gives to others in your travels. It's a real good feeling when strangers give you the thumbs up when you drive by.

I was nervous painting my own mainly because my shop really isn't equipped as a paint shop and the lighting isn't the best but all in all it didn't turn out too bad and I got a thumbs up by a couple body shops who were impressed with the way it turned out for being painted in a garage.

Biggest problem is learning overlap, and how wet or dry to make the paint.
A good gun makes all the difference in the world.
Buy a pint of paint, and practice on some panels for a bit, you will pick it up pretty quick.

 

The problem I had I think is I picked a paint with a lot of pearl.

 

Pearl is NOT a paint for a first time painter. LOL

 

I was told it would be no problem....lol Guess what?
