i don't think anyone who camped went with out a collection of them. best brand product ever made IMM. they would sit for years, fire right up or only need a good cleaning out of gummed up fuel

If you don't use gas in them, only coleman fuel, they burn forever, with little to no mantainance
    Gas clogs them right up.

    Go figure...

It's a bug alright. Not easy to shake off. I say Enjoy it while it lasts.

because gas degrades in around 30 days , coleman fuel takes way- way, years longer.

I have several, but they are more modern. A couple of antiques out on the farm, ( a green one and a couple of red ones) but I don't use them anymore. We have a couple of gas lanterns we pretty much use exclusively when were camping now. Picked up a high powered 1500 Lumen Coleman NorthStar last Spring. That thing does put out some light, but I don't like that full length accordion type mantel. Seems like it tears itself apart after several hours of normal use. We usually attach the propane lanterns to a Distribution Tee attached to a 20# bottle.

We have a couple of dual fuel lanterns and a couple of white gas only lanterns that also go along with us in the camper. One in the boat. We also carry a dual fuel single burner stove on the boat with a coffee pot. We only use white gas in it.

    Look on the bottom.
Left side is month, right side is year.
I'll post a picture when I get home to show what I mean
    Stove is the same

You’re right of course, but before I left Kali, I sold quite a few to the VW/Van crowd.

That was a hot weekend, but I got rid of an Excursion-full of lanterns and made a few new friends.

    That's the fun part

And funny thing, you're in a different part of the country now, so there is a different selection of lanterns, stoves, heaters, and such

    I love the shopping part.
Going to suck when I finally decide to move.
Wow what a bunch of stuff I have collected....

BTW, I used to have an old dodge like the blue and white 66 in the pictures
Had a 170" slant six in it, that had a gazillion miles on it when I got it from the power company
I pulled that out and put a 340 out of a wrecked challenger in it
    That thing would scoot.
Had to be careful tho, if you went over 75 mph the front end would start to float up in the air.
It made a few seat cover pucker moments

    Good memories
